What is ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidenced-based and scientific approach to shaping behavior and developing pivotal skills. It helps us to understand learning, behavior and how various environments affect behavior. ABA therapy is widely accepted as an effective treatment that is supported by long term research demonstrating success for individuals diagnosed with autism or Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
ABA therapy programs help to increase an individual’s adaptive behaviors including language, communication, focus, self-care, and social skills. It also helps to decrease problematic behaviors that affect learning and social relationships or are harmful.
For individuals with a diagnosis of autism, ABA services are covered by private insurance in all 50 states. Our team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) work collaboratively with the diagnosing physicians and ADOS-trained clinicians to develop and implement treatment.
Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI)
Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention or EIBI is a therapeutic approach based on the principles of ABA. It is ideal for toddlers 14 months to 5 years of age. It is a well-established treatment for ASD, with intensive therapy recommended for 25 to 40 hours weekly with service levels continually assessed as individuals achieve outcomes and goals.. It addresses developmental delays, cognitive concerns, communication, social and emotional functioning.
Comprehensive ABA Programs
This is a comprehensive yet generalized program that helps children up to 11 years of age in multiple areas, with structured therapy sessions for 25-35 hours per week.
Focused ABA Programs
This program is appropriate for school-aged children who need therapy to address a specific skill or acute treatment goal. This focused therapy program is recommended for children as young as 3 years of age for 10 to 25 hours per week.
