When our children are born, we look forward to the day when we first hear them say “mama” or “dada”, they wave bye-bye and take their first steps. These are developmental milestones and are indications of a child’s developmental progress throughout their childhood. Some children, however, may not meet typical developmental milestones at specified times due to a variety of reasons and will be recommended to be evaluated by a developmental pediatrician or neurologist. In this talk, learn from the Head of Neurology and Developmental Pediatrics at NeurAbilities Healthcare, Madeline Chadehumbe, MD, FAAN, about when an evaluation may be needed and how a specialist may guide treatment. This talk is designed for parents of young children, although professionals are welcome.
