NeurAbilities is proud to participate in Sensory-Friendly Day aboard the Battleship New Jersey on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Camden Waterfront.
This special event is designed to offer a more comfortable and inclusive experience for individuals with sensory sensitivities and their families. Guests can explore the ship in a modified environment that includes:

Lowered loudspeaker volume

Relaxed movement policies (no wristbands required)

Early entry for a quieter experience

Designated quiet areas for breaks
In addition to touring this historic ship, families will have the opportunity to attend two featured presentations hosted by the Center for Autism Research at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP):

11:00 AM – “Fathers, be present and intentional with your Autistic loved one”

11:30 AM – “More than Survival: Thriving in a world not designed for me”
Emily Reese, Poet, Autistic Self-Advocate, and Research Intern at CHOP
NeurAbilities, along with other local organizations supporting neurodiverse communities, will be present to share resources, connect with families, and answer questions.
