Kristin Taft, BCBA, LABA, is a Board Certified and Licensed Behavior Analyst providing ABA therapy at NeurAbilities in our Freehold, NJ clinic.

Kristin received her Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from Drexel University in Philadelphia and her Bachelors in Psychology from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.

Kristin expressed that she loves “how unique and individualistic each child that I work with is. Each and every person that I have ever worked with has taught me new things, has allowed me to grow as a professional, and has brought me immense joy. I could be having the worst day but as soon as I am with a client, my whole mood gets turned around. I also love how each day is different and presents new challenges and accomplishments.”

Before NeurAbilites, Kristin worked as a behavioral analyst in Boston and Pennsylvania where she developed functional behavior assessments (FBA) and behavioral intervention plans (BIP) for children with autism, conducted Vineland assessment and other verbal behavior assessments (VB-MAPP) for clients, trained staff and parents on how to implement interventions, ensured proper data collection and input for each client/behavior, and supervised behavior technicians in the home setting.

When asked why she pursued a career in behavior analysis, Kristin shares, “After graduating with a psychology degree, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. I ended up getting an internship for an autism center. From then on, I fell in love with the field of ABA and decided that I wanted to do my best to make an impact on the lives of children and families with autism and other disabilities. My supervisors were amazing and really inspired me to want to continue my career in the field and were there to help with anything that I needed”.

Fun fact about Kristin is that she grew up on a horse farm and used to show horses, do barrel racing, and team penning! She also played Division I softball at Lehigh University.

We are excited to welcome Kristin to our team!
