Lauren Sivelle is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a master’s degree in General and Special Education. She is a valued member of our NeuraAbilities behavior services team and provides evaluation, treatment, and supervision in our Freehold clinic.
Lauren brings over 20 years experience working with children and adults in a variety of settings, including early intervention, special education and private agencies. While she began her career as a special educator, Lauren recognized early on that applied behavior analysis (ABA) was becoming widely recognized as an intervention that was significantly improving outcomes for children with autism. She pursued her BCBA to apply her talents and passion for helping children to the field.
When asked what aspect of her work in behavior analysis has impacted her most, she shares “I love seeing parents gain confidence in interactions with their child. It is very rewarding to see kids not only make progress with their therapists, but their parents as well.”
She smiles when she recalls the most common question she gets asked related to her work: “Will the principles of ABA work on my spouse, other children and colleagues?” Her response? “Yes! If we understand what motivates people, we can apply those principles to shaping behavior, including decreasing undesired behaviors.”
In addition to being passionate about ABA, she is also a huge history buff! She enjoys visiting and photographing places significant in American Revolutionary History.
