Marsela Ismailanji, is a Licensed Behavior Specialist providing ABA therapy at NeurAbilities Healthcare in the Bala Cynwyd clinic and surrounding community.

With 20 years of experience in education and working with children, Marsela reflects on finding her roots to the field when she was just 9 years old. “My mother’s best friend’s child was diagnosed with a disability,” she remembers, “and at that point I felt drawn towards helping children.” When she was older and pondering career choices, she confidently pursued a degree in education and went on to instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students’ varying needs and interests.

Years later, when Marsela started her own family, she learned that her son also needed supports and felt more motivated than ever to help others in need. “My son’s diagnosis inspired me to help change the lives of other children and their parents,” she remembers. Marsela went on to obtain her Master’s Degrees in Applied Behavioral Analysis and Education from Arcadia University and pursued her dream of working with children to support their development and positive outcomes.

When asked what she likes most about her job, Marsela shares, “that moment when you hear a child say ‘Mom’ to his or her mother for the first time”.

Marsela loves to build relationships with everyone around her and make others smile and laugh! We are excited to welcome Marsela to our team!
