NeurAbilities

First Ever Recipient of AAN Practice Award

by Mark Mintz, MD
CMO and Founder of NeurAbilities Healthcare

“Quality” is a term we use frequently when we talk about patient care at NeurAbilities. Cultivating a positive patient experience is of high priority for our interdisciplinary team. Accomplishing that requires synergy across disciplines and support for our team of medical, neuropsychological, and behavioral specialists.

The concept of providing quality care was integral to my vision when I founded The Center for Neurological and Neurodevelopmental Health (CNNH, now called NeurAbilities Healthcare) in 2005, and that has not changed. Our team takes pride in our work, never settling for mediocrity and always striving for excellence. Quality care translates to quality outcomes for our patients, and to achieve those outcomes it is our responsibility as providers to continually improve ourselves by expanding our skill sets and remaining educated about the latest advancements in the field.

We find reliable success in equipping families with treatment plans and strategies to assist their children in reaching goals and gaining independence through our comprehensive approach and emphasis on family education. By educating and supporting patients and their families, we also find that our patients are significantly less likely to require emergency services or miss school, work, and other activities.

NeurAbilities was honored recently by the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) with the seminal Neurology Practice Award, awarded to an independent neurology organization for providing excellence in quality care and service to the community, further validating our purpose. Through our focus on our vision and mission, we have been able to take our organization from a mere concept to the successful implementation of innovative health care delivery methodologies and systems of care for special needs populations.

It was with great pride that I was able to accept this award on behalf of the patients and families we serve, and all our clinical, administrative, executive, and support staff, as well as the many others who have contributed to our progress over the years.

Quality care for our patients is a product of quality professionals in an environment that demands synergy and collaboration. Receiving the Neurology Practice Award is a source of accomplishments to our entire team and motivates us to continue transforming the lives of the patients and families we are grateful to have the opportunity of serving.
