A Message From the CEO

Serving Those That Serve Our Patients

This marks the fifth year of our annual ‘Giving Thanks’ CEO listening tour, and once again I find myself reflecting on my gratitude for being a part of this remarkable team and tradition. November has become a special time for me because it gives me additional opportunities to connect with and express my gratitude for each of our dedicated team members who work diligently to serve our patients and families. I also get to receive hugs and high fives from our patients; truly a joyful time that I am thankful for as well. The Giving Thanks Tour, second only to our annual Halloween competition, holds a special place in my heart, as it provides me with a chance to serve those who spend every day serving our patients. The added value, aside from celebrating our dedicated team, is the gathering of valuable survey feedback that reflects the needs and wants of our exceptional team members while helping administration identify further ways of supporting them as we enter the new year. Listening to the inspiring stories shared by team members throughout the Giving Thanks Tour has brought me so much joy, and those are the exact anecdotes that highlight the progress made both within our company and at the patient level. Traveling to each of our locations across Pennsylvania and New Jersey to spend time with the most dedicated professionals I have the privilege of knowing has been as positive of an experience as it sounds. Thank you to all our team members for the joy and professionalism you bring to your job every day. Our dedicated team really does provide hope to the many communities we serve, and I invite other dedicated and compassionate individuals who share our mission of transforming lives to join our growing team.

A Walk Down Memory Lane with the Chief Medical Officer & Founder

The Inspiration Behind NeurAbilities and the Book That Captures It All

Early in his career, Dr. Mark Mintz, Founder and Chief Medical Officer of NeurAbilities Healthcare, saw opportunities to address many of the common flaws in the delivery of specialty healthcare to special needs populations. What started as simple inspiration developed into the vision behind NeurAbilities Healthcare as it exists today. The mission of NeurAbilities has been to transform the lives of individuals and their families while sharing knowledge and resources with other medical professionals. Dr. Mintz’s book, Optimizing Outcomes: Integrated Specialty Healthcare for Neurodevelopmental Disabilities, serves as an essential roadmap for parents, caregivers, healthcare providers, and other professionals, with the purpose of challenging our thinking and providing hope to individuals with neurological, neurodevelopmental, and neurobehavioral concerns.
Don’t miss out on this roadmap to hope, now available through Amazon and Barnes & Noble! New Team Members; Renovated Space; Same Excellence

Welcoming Team Members and Renovations to Our King of Prussia Diagnostic Center

Our newly refreshed and redesigned clinical space is more than just a fresh coat of paint! With new team members such as psychologist Dr. Christine DiBello and pediatric nurse practitioner Terry Peura, RN, MSN, CRNP bringing their unique expertise to our growing team, we have never been better equipped to provide the highest quality care to patients and families in the King of Prussia area. These new team members and building renovations bring with them an expansion of our capabilities as a provider, allowing us to serve additional patients in this office location.

SPARK Autism Research: Collecting DNA Simply and Painlessly

Free Spit Testing for Children and Young Adults

NeurAbilities is partnering with the CHOP Center for Autism Research to host SPARK for Autism in our Allentown clinic for a family fun event and spit testing event on December 2nd! SPARK is a first-of-its-kind national research study that seeks to understand more about the influence genetics has in the development of autism. In addition to learning more about their children’s genetics through SPARK, families will also have the opportunity gather additional resources while children can participate in sensory-friendly activities in the clinic space. While registration is required, the event is completely free and open to the public, and it is designed to provide a more pleasant alternative testing method than drawing blood from patients.

Our NEW Bilingual Website Feature

New Supports for Spanish-Speaking Families

Our website now offers a built-in Spanish translation feature which will improve the patient experience for a significant portion of our patients and families who speak Spanish as their primary language. To use this feature, simply select ‘Spanish’ from the small menu in the bottom right corner of any page of our website (including this one). This will prompt each page of our website to automatically display text in Spanish rather than in English. In addition to this new website feature, we have also translated our Comprehensive Services brochure as another important way of sharing information with this valued population of patients and families. You can download the Spanish brochure here!
